Grimshaw, Ab.

The fellers brought this Reuben to my motel room, hot from the kitchen of Norm’s Pizzazz restaurant in Grimshaw, Alberta. And yes, I was wondering the same thing… is that the same as the Grimshaw as all the Grimshaw semi trucks? After a cursory search, it would seem it is, as the company started here back in the 50s. Anyway, I’d just finished an online zoom class and this Reuben hit the spot. It was simple yes, but really delicious. It also came on the exact (or seemingly exact) type of rye bread that my Mom bought for us growing up, so there is a small nostalgia factor. I can’t be as gracious about the fries as they could have spent another few minutes in the cooker. I would call them medium rare. Overall, I would say the Reuben is worth a buy, but not a courier service with said freighter!

Books featured gettin’ ready to lean into a Mexican Pizza. Buen Provecho.
