This offering comes straight from the city of champions and it is one of the best Reubens I have had on this journey so far. Big Daddy’s Sandwich Co. is where it comes from, and aside from the fact that it wasn’t on a plate, it was perfect. Like really really good. Toasted perfectly, tonnes of meat and they give you a big pickle spear on the side which I definitely have a soft spot for! Also for the record I’m certain you can have your sandwich on a plate, I think we may have just had a small mix up… still champion-esque stuff though.

Speaking of champions, sitting opposite of Joe during this lunch, really any lunch, is fantastic. This probably is fairly obvious based on how good of a thumbs-up he throws. That’s hitchhiking-worthy right there. Take a moment and imagine how impossible it would be to drive past that stellar of a thumbs up.

That type of enthusiasm and positivity is infectious. Especially throughout a summer with lots of hard work, some of it in much less enjoyable spots than sitting before a steaming hot Reuby. Regardless that big ol’ moustached smile persists and the thumbs are always up! Anyway, I suppose I am being so sentimental because Joe is heading back to Uni for the year and so this was his last working lunch of the year!

One of the best, eating lunch at one of the best! How appropriate!

Cheers Joe!
