Medicine Hat, Ab.

This reuben is coming to you from Medicine Hat. It was a delish number, which I suppose was living up to the hype. I had called Tracy’s Chocolate Shop, a local favourite, and asked if it would be possible to pick a few up (I was going to take lunch to my brother-in-law Matt). The person I chatted with … Tracy?... assured me that they not only had a reuben, but the best one in town. So I divulged that I happen to be the proud author of a blog on Reubens… maybe the only one in the world. All this is to say that even with this mounting pressure, all the world’s reuben eaters, about to read about your sandwich… Tracy and her crew rose to the occasion. Matt and Aron (both pictured) had glowing remarks, Aron noting that some of the juices were dripping down his arm and despite this he wouldn’t stop eating as the pleasure of each bite outweighed the discomfort of elbow-bound reuben juice. Trust me, in the Reuben game, this is high praise… Matt, usually timid around a sandwich, came up for air after 3 halves and some fries with gravy! 

All told this Reuben was superb! Definitely worth checking out next time you’re in Canada’s Sunniest City!
