Pigeon Lake, Ab.

Look at all those hungry workers! As you may have inferred by the photo and the road closures/traffic delays, the summer building season is back on and that means, I assume for all construction workers, visits to small, obscure towns and several reuben/coffee combo lunches. As such, this offering comes from Daisy McBean, known mostly as an ice cream joint, located in the quaint Village at Pigeon Lake. This was a pretty great sandwich.. Kinda simple but the bread was perfectly toasted and the sandwich didn’t leave you feeling heavy or bogged down. Don’t really know if that’s a reviewable trait, but I wolfed this thing down and felt good… like a wolf. Not like a rock… deep cut chevy commercial reference there.

Let’s crawl outta that rabbit hole together..

The fellas were all pretty hungry as we had a late lunch. We’d been quite delayed by the shipping company that had our supplies so we filled the time with several productive activities. Clearing mud from a skid steer… javelining iron pry bars… changing a hydraulic line… catch (both football and frisbee). Filling a morning in a vast empty field does have the potential to be boring… but as the Buddhists say boredom is simply the lack of attention.

I think they say that anyway.

This reuby while simple, had some tasty details quite worthy of attention..

Buddhist approved!
